GUSTO
ACCESSIBILITY
Different work spaces require different morphology of the tip. The user has the ability to quickly swap the tip of the GUSTO tool in order to have easier access to the clamp.
Each tip is manufactured out of EN42 spring steel using specialised equipment. Once formed, the tip is then hardened and chemically blackened for strength, durability, and ability to withstand repeated bending and flexing. Each tip has special characteristics that include, two fixing holes, a fold (where the length of the tip is measured), locking dimple, and a combination of left/right/centre ears.
The difference(s) between the tips can be:
A) The length of the tip – The length of a tip is measured from the bottom of the tip to the fold. Tips come in 3 sizes 40mm, 60mm, 80mm. The extension of the tip helps the user reach clamps where the body of the tool does not allow for access.
B) The angle of the tip – This modification shifts the tool away from the clamp or pipe, to ensure easier access to the clamp.
C) The number / type of ears – In some cases, an obstacle or another pipe/clamp exists next to the clamp of interest. In this case, removing one of the ‘ears’ of the tip, helps for easier operation. The ‘ears’ can also be customisable for the easier release of specific clips that close with a different mechanism.
